Mothers* Rebellion in Norway and Sweden are knitting a collective red scarf that will be wound around their parliament buildings on the countries' respective Overshoot Days (the dates when the national demands for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year). The scarves are being knitted individually and will be pieced together. The OD:s of Norway and Sweden are expected in April(!) and the point of the action is to visualize this red line for the climate and the responsibility of politicians to take action against climate change.
